Dec-02-01, 02:35 AM (EST) "Question re. Flatlands activities" I have managed to get FLatlands route up and running in explore mode, and have added the engines and rolling stock as specified in the readme files however I have not been able to get single activity to run. Most do not show a loco in the set up screen and the ones that do crash on loading. Has anyone been successful in getting the activities up and running. What steps were necessary? Thanks, JD Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-03-01, 08:55 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Question re. Flatlands activities" Hi JD. did you install all the extra items needed b4 or after you installed flatlands? the first time i installed the flatlands i added the items after i installed it and it caused major problems. then i uninstalled the route then reinstalled it after the items and it worked fine. try deleting the route then reinstall it after you add the neccesary items. if the items are already installed the just remove then reinstall flatlands and it should work fine. Dec-05-01, 12:24 PM (EST) 7. "RE: Question re. Flatlands activities" Hi. sorry for asking this again but did you put it in the folder of the route you want it in then click on it? it should work. but if it still don't work just copy the texture, terrtex, and shapes files from the 6 original routes. USA 1, USA 2, JAPAN 1, JAPAN 2, EUROPE 1, EUROPE 2. i once had that problem with the batch program. it works with some routes you d/l and it doesn't with others. go figure.lol. if this still don't work let me know. Dec-06-01, 00:25 AM (EST) 9. "RE: Question re. Flatlands activities" Well, I deleted flatlands and reinstalled as suggested, still no
luck with the activites. I get failed consist messages and I have not yet checked what the nature of the consist failure is. I had some trouble with the file names of the readme not being the same as the file names downloaded from train-sim. This may be the issue. Anybody been through this before I would appreciate a recount of "how you did it" Thanks, JD Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-06-01, 08:34 AM (EST) 10. "RE: Question re. Flatlands activities" Hi. i downloaded that route last week and had the same problem but my PC crashed right before i got to fix that. i had the same problem with a few other routes and after i removed then reinstalled the route i had no problem. i'm redownloadig the route now. i'll send you an e-mail with the way to get it to work in a few. i have a 56k modem so you'll have to give me about 1 to 2 hours as the route takes about an hour to download i know what you mean by the readme saying the files are different. i wish the people that made these routes gave a little more directions as to what they named the files. i like the routes don't get me wrong just wish they were a little more specific when adding fies for it. anyway i'll let you know what to do. just got to give me a little while.
