Jun-17-01, 06:48 PM (EST) ""Activity Complete" probs" Every time I create or modify an activity, it says "Activity Complete" as soon as I begin the simulation. Case in point: I modified the grain train at night to start with a totally new consist at Whitefish and do work at Columbia Falls and Essex before tying up at Shelby. I saved it as a new consist and activity, so at that point it should have become a new activity, which it did. However, when I opened it, it says "Activity Complete" as soon as the simulation begins. One thing I am having trouble with is selecting cars for a set-out. Does anyone have any advice on how to choose which cars are going to be set-out? With that slot left blank in the editor, that could cause some problems. Does there have to be cars marked for set-out, or will any cars in the train fit the bill?Either way, I welcome any advice or tips on how to create your own activity, and also any insight as to what I am doing wrong.
Thanks, Scott H Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-17-01, 08:16 PM (EST) 1. "RE: "Activity Complete" probs" I had a very similar problem, and it rested in the ACTION EVENTS window. All of my events simply had the outcome of ACTIVITY COMPLETE, so there was nothing to be done as far as the sim was concerned. Head back into the editor, and pull up the ACTION EVENTS (or even the LOCATION EVENTS window) and look at the details by right-clicking on the items, and selecting PROPERTIES. Look at the outcome of the action, and select NONE or DISPLAY A MESSAGE from the drop down bar. Let us know how you make out!Adam

Jun-18-01, 04:52 PM (EST) 2. "RE: "Activity Complete" probs" I got the activity up and running. The problem seemed to lye in my program, as I did a Re-Install and everything was fine. Thanks for the note about the "Activity Complete" thing in the Action Events menu. Even though that wasn't the problem, it helped me avoid another one.
