"RE: Passing Red Stop Signals HELP HELP" Well... this is not a simple question to answer because you didn't provide enough detail and even it you wanted to, you probably couldn't have provided enough detail. As we all know, half of our problem is we can't see any farther down the track than our own train. SooooooOOO, it's time to do some inductive reasoning. The first thing you gotta ask yourself, what's happening down the track ahead of you. Apparently the dispatcher sees unforseen dangers for you and is protecting you from total annihlation right? Of course. So what can it be. Here's a short list.Something is on the track.Yep, that's it. But to the dispatcher anything is something on the track, like a switch changed against your path, or a static consist, or another train in the block ahead of you. Possibly a jack knifed cow, but... nahhSo how to rememdy? First go back to the Activity Editor and run the VCR Playback. That's what I call that thing at the bottom of the screen where you can see your trains running. Remember to first click on Verify starting state. Then select play. If you see your train stop, meaning the VCR Playback is replicating what you are experiencing, then chances are you got your path running through a static consist. Or there might be a train ahead of you but you'll see that. If your train goes on through the signal normally, then you have something happening during your playing the activity. Chances are... another train has changed a switch on you somewhere way up yonder. And most likely, it's happening where a manual switch is at.Manual switches. Our favorite but the dispatcher hates them. He hates them so much that he won't throw it. That's why you get stuck at the signal. The dispatcher sees your path as blocked and he won't change the signal, nor will he let you prevail. So what do you do?Well, if it is the swtich, you gotta change the path of the train throwing that switch so that you beat it to the switch, or it ain't going through that switch at all.Hope this helps!Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
