Nov-07-01, 07:18 PM (EST) "Some new, but not so useless information to pass on" In my continuing soap opera, as MSTS Turns, we spotlight on the Activity Editor for new dramatic turns of events. Today's twilight ectasy begins with editing already placed consists. And not just any placed consists, let's up this notches to include ones that have already been included in pickup and drop-off action events. Here's where the plot thickens. Let's say you want to change the consist slightly or totally! Sure, I hear you moaning and groaning over there. And you, stop picking your nose! Well short of disemboweling yourself there is an easy rememdy. But as in any soap opera, I have to drag this out first. First, right click on the static consist and choose properties. The Static Consist editor will open with the display name of Loose Consist. Just ignore that part. Keep in mind the particulars of the action pick-up and drop-off events and replace the cars that need replacing. Click the save & edit button and wholla. You are returned to the static consist, with the same numbers and your pickup and drop-offs are unaffected. Isn't that nice? Now if you add a car, or subtract a car, that will and could and should affect the situation. But you're a smart guy and knew that already, right?Oh, you knew this already.. well... have you heard me play the banjo????Rich Garberyep, too much time on my hands... and no I didn't just discover this wise guy.
