This was posted a long time ago. You can open the activity file and copy, then paste the consist back in under drop-off. And if you used the consist previously in another activity, you could get it from there too. I can't give you the specifics how what it should look like since I've never done it myself. But someone did discuss this here. Try searching or just experimenting yourself. Make sure you backup your activity first.Hope this helps.Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Or in the actual activity itself? In the editor, I would select an existing consist that's as close as possible to what you want. Then select the "use as template" button (I think that's what it's called), delete off the engines, add or subtract cars to get exactly what you want, and then save it with a new name.In the activity itself - once you've done the above step... you would have had to choose that saved consist (multiple cars or whatever) and place it on the route wherever you wanted it to be located for pickup. Then drive to that location and couple on to the end of it! I've done this with "helper" sets of locomotives; can't imagine why it wouldn't work with any other combinations.

He wants to know if there's an easier way of adding cars to the list when filling in a pickup action event. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

------------Ok - I was thinking more of the basic placement first... but what would happen if a group of cars were placed somewhere and then one on the end was specified in an Action Event? Wouldn't the whole group of cars be coupled if the one on the end was?Same result, just different approach, yes?
