Oct-22-01, 12:13 PM (EST) "BNSF Considering Creating a MSTS Add-on" BNSF is considering creating a BNSF add-on that would have precise information about BNSF routes, train dynamics and even some video of certain routes.
I'm trying to determine what kind of demand is out there in the train fan world. What would a train fan be willing to pay for all of BNSF's routes, locomotives and cars, and possibly some video? What do you think is a fair/acceptable price for something like this? My expectation is that it would be done in a professional way, so the quality of the data would be high. How easy is it to create the routes, locomotives and cars for MSTS? If someone could post a few websites that highlight the process of creating routes and locos/cars that'd be appreciated. I need to figure out how much it would cost to complete something like this as well. Anyone's insights would be appreciated. What routes are of most interest to the train fans?I can be reached at mstsbnsf@yahoo.com Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: BNSF Considering Creating a MSTS Add-on" It sounds great up front, but I'm afraid the time it would take to model the route professionally might make it cost prohibitive. Maybe it would be better to make the associated data available (@ cost +) for individuals to model any or all of the route/routes they wish.Unless you have better tools for creating MSTS Routes, the editor supplied is pretty rough. I have spen considerable time (6+ weeks just trying to lay the track for the state of connecticut and I am not even 1/3 done (just the tracks) and it really isn't as accurate as I'd like!Just my observations.Regards,Greyfox
