Oct-21-01, 09:43 PM (EST) "What is this activity? ITR_E1_S1_W1_T1.act" I have noticed that every route has an activity (all called something like the above ) in its activity folder. Oct-22-01, 05:15 AM (EST) 2. "RE: What is this activity? ITR_E1_S1_W1_T1.act" How can this be??? Because it has a large amount of AI traffic -- and we know that Explore route has no traffic. ITR_E1_S1_W1_T1.act" ITR--Introductory Train RideI modified my Marias Pass ITR to include a caboose in the player service consist so I can sit back in the cupola and watch the scenery go by. However, once you get past Browning, you lose a lot of AI traffic, and the train won't make the Bison grade. Haven't gotten around to adding helpers yet.

Oct-27-01, 08:55 AM (EST) 5. "RE: What is this activity? ITR_E1_S1_W1_T1.act" There was a post on one of these forums some months ago which was titled "Autopilot for Train Simulator." It explained how to turn any activity on any route into an "Introductory Train Ride." I tried it out and it works. Occasionally, it's pleasant just to sit back in a coach and watch the scenery go by! Oct-27-01, 11:48 AM (EST) 6. "RE: What is this activity? ITR_E1_S1_W1_T1.act" I've successfully changed passenger activities (with traffic) that I've downloaded for both the default routes and add ons, to introductory train rides...
go into activity editor,click open ,then select the route you want your activity to run on..navigate to the activities folder, open up the activity you want to make into a screensaver, then just save it as itr_e1_s1_w1_t1.act .... exit activity editor.. then , using wordpad , not notepad, open the newly created itr activity .. it's in the activities folder in your selected route.. and change the value mode (2) to mode (0) ..then save..
The only other thing is to rename any itr activity there already is for the route first!
I've bound to have forgotten some details but that roughly is it. Massive screensaver fun! jv..PS... one of the passenger runs on the Hjorring-Aalborg Danish add-on route, when made into an introductory train ride , used to regularly have head-ons 2 out of 5 times ... you never knew what would happen... nice Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
