Oct-07-01, 02:40 PM (EST) "Passing points" LAST EDITED ON Oct-07-01 AT 02:41 PM (EST)Can anyone tell me how to use passing points, and what they do? I know they are supposed to let 2 trains pass each other, but i am stuck after that. I have a lot of activities where I am stuck behind a slow train, but can't do anything about it as i don't know how to create passing points.
Thanx in advance,

Just build a second track or siding, a little longer than your longest train.
Put one train down the siding and the other train down the main, there by passing each other. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I think the other post has it about right. You'll have to choreograph it so your train is always able to overtake the slow train at the same point. Bummer, I know.Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Oct-13-01, 01:58 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Passing points" I have found that if an AI train goes into a siding to meet a player train and the player train is more than one signal block away the AI train is held in sidings marked as passing points. If the siding is not marked as a passing point - the AI train will come out of the siding on to the mainline and will collide with the player train head on.
