Sep-15-01, 01:28 PM (EST) "Modern England Route" Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong. When installing this route the instructions say 'copy the shapes and textures directories from the “global folder' to the routes shapes and textures directories. Does this mean create a sub directory within the moderneng route shape and texture folders ?
It also says 'Copy the TERRTEX directories from all the other routes to the moderneng route.' Where do I put them ? Also as the directories are all called the same the PC will keep asking me to overwrite the previous one ?
I must be doing something wrong as when I try to open the route, error messages appear 'No extended shape data for carlisle.s'.
Failed to open texture file 'Global textures\carlislenew1.ace'Any help would be appreciated. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Modern England Route" I don't have that route but it sounds like they want you to copy all the objects within the default routes to that route's shapes, textures and terrtex folder. I'm sure you've seen this discussed many times in the route forum. It's the same thing. Your just taking the objects from those routes and sticking them into identical folders of your route; in this case, the england route. He's also including the global, so if he's looking for shapes, copy from the global shapes folder into your england shapes folder. Samething with everything else. You're just stuffing your own folders (shapes, terrtex and textures) with all the objects found within the same respective folders for all the routes that came with msts so the route has access to all the objects. Sep-15-01, 07:06 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Modern England Route" I have installed Modern England after a few headaches. You need to go the the global folder and copy the shapes and textures to the moderneng directory. You don't have to bother about the constant overwriting when copying the tertex directories from ALL the routes. When you have done all that you will find you will not be able to save a path. To do that you need to create the following empty folders in the moderneng folder- activities, services, paths and traffic. Good luck! Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
