Sep-13-01, 03:15 PM (EST) "reversing points" Have created a freight activity for the "NWC". Placed all of my reversing points and ran a lone loco for a test. Everything worked fine, reversing points, switches and all. I then ran the activity with an 8 car consist. Half of the reversing points and switches don't work. Anyone else experinced this problem? I realize that the loco and all cars must past the reversing point, to activate the switch, but do you have to go further beyond when pulling freight cars than with a lone loco? Not sure this is clear but any help appreciated. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

the answer is yes. any particular reverse point has to be large enough for the entire consist that is using it to fit. this area has to be clear track and cannot touch any switches. signals dont matter. it will work best to make a temporary consist of the length you need and use it as a template to set the reverse point length rather than guessing.
