Aug-31-01, 12:57 PM (EST) "How to change engines?" OK, how do I change the engine on an activity? I can't seem to get the hang of the editors. Any help from anyone?

Then select edit near time table edit, then select edit under consist in the box which opens. You will now see the consist click on the engine you dont want and drag it to the uncoupler. Then select the engine from the ones available (disel, electric, steam)and insert it at the front of your remaining consist.Don't forget to click save & close. Then when you selet it in the game you will have your new engine.Hope this helps, if you need any further help let me know.

If you want to make it specific to this activity, use the template option and then add the new consist to your activity. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Sep-03-01, 01:40 AM (EST) 3. "RE: How to change engines?" Yardlimit.I've used this method to add an additional consist to
an existing activity. Worked well with Grain car set-out.
Replaced the GP38 with an SW1200. However, I once used the
same technique to add a new consist to "Dawn tank train." I simply replaced the d9's with two dd40xs. Any attempt to use this combination caused the activity to fail when my train
reached (and passed) the normal "end of activity" location.
I have no idea why. Any thoughts? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

What about if I want to save the original consist in the activity (so as not to screw up other activities using that consist) and duplicate the activity with a different engine?
