Aug-30-01, 01:52 PM (EST) "Path problem" Is it possible, in some way, to give certain trains priority over others? For example, I wish to hold the player service at a signal before joining a main line to allow a couple of computer trains to pass by first. However, the editor holds up the express trains even though the player service is still approaching the junction.I would be grateful for a solution to this problem, if anyone can help.J. Aug-30-01, 05:42 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Path problem" We ALL would be grateful for a solution to this problem. However, the signal code as written by Kuju has not been cracked sufficiently yet for this to be done. If you want to see a program that knows what realism in dispatching is, go here and download Train Dispatcher 2, then when you get addicted to it, pay them for the upgraded TD3.http://www.signalcc.com Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Sep-02-01, 11:26 AM (EST) 5. "RE: Path problem" I think Denny is right about this. There was an earlier post some time ago by artji I think, who found out that MSTS looks two signals ahead. I believe this is correct but at the same time, it doesn't seem to always happen consistently. For instance, having two AI trains on the same path will sometimes lock signals up which won't reset. Someone also said, short AI paths. I think that's turning out to be true too. I just did a activity with a long AI route and I'm redoing it now cause it just won't work right. Locks the signals up for the AI train trying to repeat the previous AI train's path. Even putting the second AI train down as a new path doesn't correct the problem. Signals stay locked.
