Aug-29-01, 00:08 AM (EST) "Three Dash Nines?" Do I still have a screwed up copy of this game, or has anyone else seen this? I was testing the new mountain division to create starter activities to include with the route, and I couldn't make it all the way up the grade with the stock consist of 2 dash9s and 50 cars, so I thought I'd try it with three. So when I started the activity and switched to an external view, I was surprised to see only two engines. thinking I had missed something, I opened it up in the consist editor.

Do I still have a screwed up install, or is this just another bug among thousands? Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-29-01, 00:55 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Three Dash Nines?" Hey, bob, long time. Yeah, this thing has more bugs than Wizards and Warriors, the previous all time leading champ. I could fix it on mine, too, but the problem I would have is that i couldn't distribute a route with an activity using what would then be a custom consist, due to other bugs that crash the game when the program doesn't find what it's looking for in the activity. I just wanted to know if my install was screwed up, cuz for the first month I had only part of the files in europe two and was missing some textures in other routes due to a defective disk. MSTS had so many other bugs I didn't think anything of the fact that I couldn't drive more than a few miles on the Innsbruck Austria route without locking up, but all that at least was fixed when I exchanged the disks. Here's another weird one I also found today:

Aug-29-01, 01:05 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Three Dash Nines?" Hi. There is nothing wrong. Bill Gates and the Kuju team were just out with their bridge repair crew between the summer and winter. The concrete was crumbling and was replaced with steel! Seeya, regards, Bob. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-29-01, 06:52 AM (EST) 6. "RE: Three Dash Nines?" Jim................I've seen the same thing. I just think the listing is incorrect. I edited it to correspond to what the listing said rather than relying on the information line. I guess we can't take things for granted. When you rush to get things out to meet an arbitrary deadline... this is what happens.

Aug-29-01, 10:20 PM (EST) 10. "RE: Three Dash Nines?" Yeah. I found that after the first guy said it. I went and looked. So I went ahead and put the consist in the last activity, said "I'm tired of all this", and decided the route was good enough as is. It has starting points all over, so even someone who can't use the activity editor can do a lot of different things just by using a little ingeniuety in explore route.
