Aug-22-01, 06:55 PM (EST) "Activities needed" Hi, I need activities for my new route Valley railway. There is currently only an Alpha up but I will have the Beta with full track layout up soon.IT may seem incomplete with the switches up at the west(?) end of the track where ther is about 6 points that lead to nothing, they are gonig to be abandoned mine entrances so trains wont' be gonig in to them anyway.I will probably submit it tonight provided the shape and texture copier doesn't corrup if my computer is still frozen when I go back to it.everyone who makes an activity for it will be acknowledged however my track is relesed as Public Domain so if you want your activity to be relesed under a separte licence thingy you will need to tell me so I can make it clear in the read me.Thanks Niall(I will reply to this when it's submitted) Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-23-01, 08:39 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Activities needed" Let me know when you have out a final version and I will take a look to see what I think. I will certainly consider making some activities, but they would be freight. I would also require there to be ample signalling and sidings, as well as descent yard size (4 or 5 tracks). Email me when the version is ready of if you want to talk further.Sincerely,
Jonathan Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-23-01, 01:42 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Activities needed" Hm, don't think I have that big a freight yardI am pathetic at making the activities other than drive along stop at all the stations stuff. My freight yard is about 8 sidings not very long and all close to gether with no signaling inside the yard.I could be persuaded to add another freight yard which is much bigger somewhere else on the track though. Aug-23-01, 02:58 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Activities needed" Your track sounds descent. Eight tracks is plenty large enough. As long as there are one or two double track areas with a siding or two so you can drop or pick up freight. I just like there to be adequate signaling on the track which makes AI traffic much easier. I would request that you have have at least one or two signals for leaving the yard but they are not necessary within. I look forward to making an activity. It doesn't seem that many people download activities anymore. I posted some and havne't gotten a signal response so maybe the excitement is starting to slow down. I hope microsoft pots out a patch so perhaps people will get interested again.Sincerely,

Aug-23-01, 10:37 PM (EST) 7. "RE: Activities needed" the biggest problem with MSTS is that it CANNOT replace the model railroading we all love...no need for 'games' there...hell..i once read that if you try to make a switching game out of a model railroad, you WILL get bored... Aug-25-01, 05:09 PM (EST) 8. "RE: Activities needed" The track has been uploaded, there is an updated install file been uploaded for it as well, however the version on the server just now doesn't have the changes I made to the track today.I finished off the abandoned mines (you can't drive into them)
and I put in a Forest Sawmill Siding for carrying logs out of a forest.I have also put in the farm stations today So there is a few changes to the track but nothing that would stop the running of most of the track. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
