Aug-20-01, 02:20 PM (EST) "Expected Player Performance?" Has anyone ever found out what this setting in a service actually does? There is some info in the help files but I am still unsure. I am trying to figure out what this setting effects. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-21-01, 03:43 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Expected Player Performance?" AS far as I can see , there are 2 places that you enter "expected player performance" .. The first place doesn't do anything at all - I believe it is only there as a reminder to you --- this is where you fill in the details , name , etc of your activity. The the second is one place where it does do something - in the "Edit timetable" box. After the computer calculates a timetable , you can double click on the player performance figure , edit it - and then recalculate -- this does change the timetable times!Barry Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-22-01, 07:35 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Expected Player Performance?" I believe when it is set to a certain performance level it measures the extent to which you successfully perform the activities in the sim. Your "rating" and success factor are then calculated depending upon how many errors you made during the simulation. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-23-01, 11:55 PM (EST) 6. "RE: Expected Player Performance?" Hey All,
Expected Player performace controls the speed of the AI trains. 100% and the AI does the speed limit, 5% and they crawl. Regards

Aug-25-01, 04:29 AM (EST) 7. "RE: Expected Player Performance?" You're absolutely right there! Kind of misleading label isn't it? I've also come across some AI trains that were crawling no matter if I put 100% in or not. I still have to figure out what causes this. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Sep-09-01, 06:41 PM (EST) 8. "RE: Expected Player Performance?" Hey all,
It also controls the in-train force errors. A high expected player performace generates a lot of in-train force errors while a lower one generates none, unless you handle trains like some of these guys that post pictures of their in-train force errors.Regards

Sep-09-01, 08:54 PM (EST) 9. "RE: Expected Player Performance?" Do you know if the recalc of the player performance is reflected in the EA playback VCR or whatever that thing is called? That could play some real havoc with trying choregraph AI train meets. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
