Aug-19-01, 05:44 PM (EST) "Detours" When designing, I'm having trouble with switching to the parallel main and then go back to the original line latter down the tracks using the path editor. I'm using the Manual Marias Pass Route were all the switches are manual. I'm also trying it in the regular one too. Here's what I've done so far. I set my starting point at shelby, then set the ending point at glacier park. South of Cutbank I want to switch to the other main, then switch back North of Cutbank. This the same concept as the "Bridge Out" activity on the NEC. When in the Path editor, I've tried right clicking around the switches but nothing shows up on the pop up menue but remoeve start or ending points, reverse moves, and wait points. I even tried the broken path (which nothing happens when I press it). I read the help files very carefully, but nothing was mentioned on what I want to do. I also read numerous postings in this section, but nothing posted seemed to work. Thanks in advanced for any help in this matter. I never seen a product developed that was supposed to be fun cause such headaches. From what I read in all the posts, it seems like you can only plan simple activities. Aug-20-01, 09:20 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Detours" I've the same problem, I can't get the path to change from one track to the other using "take other exit". That option doesn't light up. It used to work, but for some reason it has suddenly stopped I also had the problem of the 2D view of the consists not showing, but someone else cured that problem through this board, by deleting registry entries (could that have caused the problem????)Steve Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Sep-02-01, 11:30 AM (EST) 7. "RE: Detours" I've seen this problem... you have to click on view path points. The bugger seems to act like a toggle switch. There's no visual cue except when you look at the path itself, you'll see big green dots. When you are in the alternate menu, then the dots are little black ones.
