Aug-19-01, 03:43 PM (EST) "Switching Activity" Good day!
Anyone have a good switching activity. Not saying the ones out there are bad. They are excellent. Looking for an activity which the train stops at every siding. I hate going by a siding and seeing cars in there. Or a good yard activity. Waiting for the big train to come in and you sit there and tear it down etc.Have a great weekend!

>Andrew Andrew,
There are a number of good ones out there for free download, check out the "Freight Activities" in the file downloads section at www.train-sim.comA couple of my favorites are the Columbia Falls locals by Ted Curphey, cf-local1.zipI also enjoyed l2081_1.zip by Dave Street.I myself have posted two you may like. One is a Columbia Falls switcher, lots of mainline traffic, it's pretty tough, it's cfswitch.zipAnother one I posted with a lot of mainline traffic and you switch every siding along your route exactly as you describe, takes place on the NEC and is found in file csxlocal.zipI'm getting ready to post a Kalispell Local in the next day or two, this one I think may be the most fun because all the switches in the sidings to be switched can be operated manually, so you don't have to follow a complex pre-defined path to complete it, you're more on your own. Then again, you can always download Mike Cooper's excellent edit of the Marias Pass territory in which all the switches have been made manually operable, then you can run these and just about any other activities any way you want!

Aug-20-01, 00:30 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Switching Activity" I tried most of them.
Have not tried the NEC or CSX. Will give them a shot tomorrow after my last day in the Canadian Army after 15 years! Joining the CPR as a conductor.
Can you let me know when you add your next activity? Thanks
