Aug-16-01, 12:09 PM (EST) "Bugs??- Try Gremlins!" HI All!
Ran into a wierd one last night. I ran a new activity last night to see where to make adjustments in timing AI trains and stuff. In this Act you're operating a way-freight from Kalispell to Whitefish going about the usual "Rattler" chores while dodging other trains, etc. OK, the final leg of the journey requires you to pull into Whitefish Yard track 4, tie 'er down and head in for beans. Well, that little reversing arrow in the Track Monitor pops up at the yard throat and when I get there the "Activity Ended" pop-up- pops up and I never get beans!
So, I go into AE to see what I can see. I open the "manual Marias" folder and the right hand Activity Name field shows the correct "SP&S Way Freight"- but the Player Service field has no mention of the sevice- not even in the drop-down. The same holds true of the Traffic Service field for the AI services. But the associated files are in the "Manual Marias" folder.
I know I'm as thick as a whale omlet, but what gives? What am I not seeing?Mr. Thickie Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mr. Thickie btw, all of us must be in the same boat from the looks of the boards. Just a thought from what I've read on here somewhere. Do you still have the original USA2 installed? Someone (I think it was Jim Stevens) said to either move, delete or rename the folder, because if you have the original, both the editors are easily confused. I've used the manual marias exclusively since it was posted and have had no problems, but I moved the USA2 to CD just in case. Don't know if this will help or not. Aug-16-01, 02:06 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Bugs??- Try Gremlins!" Hey Robert! THAT WORKED!!!! THANK YOU So Much!!!! I Moved my default USA2 file far away and now my AE recognises my Activities in Manual Marias!
Now if I can figure out why my Activity Ends prematurely, I'll be as happy as if I had good sense.
