Aug-11-01, 06:56 PM (EST) "Ignoring speed limits - does it work?" I'm trying to assemble an activity for my Eurostar, and one of the events I'm triggering is "Start Ignoring Speed Limits".
Has anyone managed to make this work, because I sure as heck can't. No matter what I try, it displays my message, but when I speed up, it applies the emergency brakes on 'penalty application'. I can't for the life of me seem to make the damned thing work.I've copied the event information line-for-line from the 'medical emergency' scenario on the Settle/Carlisle route but still nothing. Is this yet another bug in the editor tools ?

Aug-13-01, 11:44 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Ignoring speed limits - does it work?" It seems to me that none of the actions is actually interferring with the simulation itself. They are only capable of displaying messages en-route and adding stuff to the evaluation screen. So what ignoring speed limits will probably do is to suppress the mentioning of the speed limit violations in the evaluation. It does not effect the auto-brake of the loc. Aug-13-01, 11:48 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Ignoring speed limits - does it work?" Well this is strange. In the Medical Emergency activity, there is an "ignore speed limits" function that allows you to rip down the track at full speed in the Flying Scotsman without having the brakes applied. But when I try the same thing on the Northeast corridor for my application, it always applies the emergency brakes
