Aug-07-01, 09:39 PM (EST) "Maps of Marias Pass Switches (auto/manual)" Okay, folks, I just uploaded a set of maps of Marias Pass, with the switches colored to indicate whether they're manual (blue) or automatic (yellow). Hopefully, this will help activity creators to know what they/we need to route past and what we need to reverse into. Hopefully, the next version (or the patch, hint hint) will include something to allow dual mode (auto & manual) switches. But until then, maybe this will help.Of course, they won't be available until approved, but in the meantime, you can see the maps on my website, at http://www.geocities.com/djaquay/trains.htm.Enjoy,
Dave

If you'd gotten this done last week, you would have saved me a couple hours of testing between Whitefish and Essex. Anyone notice the use of auto/manual at Blackfoot and a couple of other areas east of the pass make no sense at all from the realism standpoint, i.e., dispatcher need for control? You posted the fact that you uploaded them on 8/1 and it's 8/8 and they are not there. Did Nels not approve them? Can we just get them from your site? Thanks, regards, Bob. Aug-09-01, 08:54 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Maps of Marias Pass Switches (auto/manual)" I uploaded them on the evening of 8/7, and haven't heard one way or the other from Nels. I saw a few files added to the Utility section yesterday, (which is where I'd guess my maps will end up), but there could be a backlog of files. If they're not up by the weekend, perhaps I could inquire further. But until then, feel free to grab them off my site. Or were you asking if I'd put the zip on my website as well?Dave Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-09-01, 09:00 PM (EST) 7. "RE: Maps of Marias Pass Switches (auto/manual)" Dangerously close to 9pm EST, I have uploaded the zip to my web page, but I also checked the files here, and it's been posted. Just search for "Marias", and you'll find it.Dave
