Aug-04-01, 09:52 PM (EST) "Creating any activity using ex AI locomotives" I am hoping somebody can help me with this. I have been trying for the past 2 weeks to create an activity using one of the now "driveable" AI locos. Creating the activity itself is not a problem, and have created a handfull using the "normal" driveable locos, but as soon as I try to create an activity using one of the tweaked AI locos as the player service, TS fatally crashes (ALT_CTRL_DEL time). It is fine in explore mode, and appears fine in the Activity editor to verify and run through the senario, but as soon as the activity is selected in TS, its all over. Is there an additional tweak needed to make them "more useable"?many thanks, and here's hoping guys (I want my LMS!!)OZ Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I did an activity called "Road Freight, Second Section" and put it on my web page for download after testing (although not as much as usual because a couple of my tester buddies were busy working or on vacation). If you had none of my other activities on your system, there were zero file overwrites. I'm thinking this is my best yet, but now...The loco consist is 2 dash-9's and a SD40. I'm now getting feedback from a user about a problem with setouts with the SD40. Apparently someone uncoupled the dash9's from the SD40 and is now unable to recouple. Perhaps contributing to this is the fact that the F9 display shows the Dash9's as 0-1 and 0-2, but the SD40 is 0-48, which apparently caused the confusion that led the user to uncouple it. I'm thinking now that the activity is reading the SD40 as part of the car consist, rather than the loco consist, though it shows as an engine on the F9 display. I'm also thinking that maybe it's not providing any power to the train at all (though my 40-car train makes it up the pass EB at a minimum of 15 mph between Java and Blacktail). Anyone have any thoughts about this? Would it make a difference if the SD40 was non-drivable (I thought it was). Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
