Aug-03-01, 02:01 PM (EST) "Can't see the consists any more..." When I put a static consist on my track, it no longer shows up on the activity screen, it appears in the activity but not on the screen, so I can't chnage direction, anyone got a cure. BTW: I have all the view mode options checked.Euston

Aug-03-01, 02:18 PM (EST) 1. "RE: Can't see the consists any more..." This is EXACTLY my problem, see post below "Disappearing Services." I was in the middle of designing an activity and had just opened the action events window, chose drop off cars and hit the "add" button, then went to Whitefish yard to find my player consist to select cars, and all the service info was gone. No loose consists, player train or AI trains, nothing moving on the playtest tool except the clock. Close editor, start train sim, and the activity works, with all the loose consists and AI trains. Yep, that worked for me, too. Re-install # 4, getting to be an old hand at it now.

I guess it's worth it tho, once you get it right-- I mean when you're out on the line with 3 dash niners pulling an empty grain extra west and the AI Amtrak consist you've loaded comes into view a mile down the track on the eastbound main--well it's pretty cool and gives me a sense of accomplishment that I'd actually GOT IT RIGHT....for once! We just gotta be patient, as hard as that is sometimes.

Aug-09-01, 05:22 PM (EST) 5. "RE: Can't see the consists any more..." Not sure why this thread got moved back to the top, but reinstall does NOT fix the disappearing consist problem. Regedit does. In the Disappearing Services thread is a post about deleting a number of registry keys. That worked for me for a while, but then the problem came back. What has worked for me is deleting ONLY the registry key for AE_Normalview. If you have this problem, take a look at the other thread. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
