This is probably a no brainer, and is probably related to a "reverse point", but how do I, after I pass a switch, automatically change the position of the switch, so I can reverse without manually throwing the switch (shift-G).I see some activities have that, but the "reverse point" is for changing the direction of the whole train....not to just reverse into a siding???? :-/
Thanks in advance!

RE: How do I make turnout

HiYou are on the right path. You will need a Reverse Point (RP) as well as right clicking over the switch and selecting the take other path (or what ever the correct name is).Placement of the RP can be tricky. The proper spot is at the location where your loco would be when the switch can be changed. Too close and the switch won't change - too far and you wonder if the little RP arrow in the F4 helper will ever disappear (the indicator you've gone far enough).Hope this helps...GaryG

RE: How do I make turnout

Thanks GaryG,
Yes that helped a lot! I am still wondering though, if you want your train to continue after you make your reverse move. Your green path line reverses with the reverse point...so any travel PAST the reverse point does not have a path....right??? :-/

RE: How do I make turnout

HiI think this is what you mean - You've backed into the siding that "switched" for you and you now wish to continue in your original direction on the track you placed the RP on.If so, piece of cake - place a RP so that when you enter the siding you trigger it. Now your green line is facing forward again. Two reverses = original direction.GaryG
