Jul-31-01, 02:32 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Seattle and Carsisle Class 47 Summer Holidays" These files are available at the trainsimfiles website which is at http://www.trainsimfiles.net/index.shtml. Look under the "wagons" heading on the Models Menu. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jul-31-01, 08:51 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Seattle and Carsisle Class 47 Summer Holidays" Hmmm, I get a reported problem with the BR_12T_VEA_Van.wag file and it exits to desktop ? I've not made any consists with this but expected the activity to 'call it up ' with no problems.
Anyone else? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Seattle and Carsisle Class 47 Summer Holidays" Yes Alex, that's what I did I created a folder in the trainset folder called BR_12T_VEA_Van and extracted the files to that folder.. must be the state of affairs on my pc I think.. or a sudden attack of dyslexia on my part.... thanks for the post Alex . jv Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-02-01, 03:58 AM (EST) 6. "RE: Seattle and Carsisle Class 47 Summer Holidays" I hope there is not a problem with my VEA wagon? I have not had ANY feedback about any of my repaints, and was hoping that it was because they were working OK.Note, the VEA is air-braked, whereas the rest of the fitted wagons and the Class 47 are vacuum braked (I think Tim will be making the 47 dual fitted in the next release). I don't think anyone has spotted that yet. You may need to modify the BR_12T_VEA_Van.wag file to create a vacuum braked version to make it run properly.Ian M.

Aug-03-01, 10:57 AM (EST) 7. "RE: Seattle and Carsisle Class 47 Summer Holidays" I edited the .wag file on the lovely vea, changing the two lines to read ,,,,,
BrakeEquipmentType( "Handbrake, vacuum_brake" )
BrakeSystemType( "Vacuum_single_pipe" )
Hope this was what you meant! But alas no success yet, I still get an error report about that .wag file.Leads me to suspect it's a local problem ... thanks for the suggestion though. jv Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-05-01, 04:14 AM (EST) 11. "RE: Seattle and Carsisle Class 47 Summer Holidays" I have just downloaded the VEA van from trainsimfiles.com and reinstalled it into my MSTS, changing it to vacuum braked, and it works perfectly, so it has not been garbled in the upload/download process.I have not downloaded the activity (too busy making things to actually play the game - I don't play games very much anyway - same with the real models, spend hours making things and only run them at exhibitions). I suspect the maker of the activity renamed the folder he put the wagon files into and then supplied a ready made consist, pointing at the new folder name. In that case, renaming the folder in the trainsets folder should do the trick. Please let me know.Ian M. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
