OK, I have started some activites for the Florida Funnel. I have a question about going into sidings. I would like to put the Player's train into a siding, have it wait for an AI train, then leave. I cannot figure out how to do this. Can someone please tell me how to set this up. Thanks, Adam
The only way I have been able to accomplish this to not use passing paths. You must have the player path take the siding and the AI path take the main line. Then you will have to run the activity a number of times to make sure that you get the start time of the AI train just right so that the AI train behaves properly. You can not adjust this timing using the VCR Playback feature in the Activity Editor. There may be other tricks some other people have come up with, but this is the way I did it in the York Canyon Coal Run Part 1 activity that I posted in the file library (coalrun.zip). It took me about 4 runs through the activity to get that 1 meet to work porperly.Bill Waterman
Hey Adam... Do just as Bill stated above - in addition - put a double reverse point at the end of the siding of the player path... Have the player train take the siding - but - do not "trip" the double reverse until after the AI train passes... That should work like a champ and remove any timing issues... Any questions about double reverses - there must be a hundred posts about them in the forum... Pretty useful little trick and it has been widley discussed... Good luck... Regards, Scott
