I am Creating the WASKTRNFR373-001 (Waterville-Skowhegan Transfer Engine #373 job #001 and I am wondering when you drop off cars, do you set the switch so that all you have to do it back up? or just leave them so you can switch it on your own. and how do you get it to switch them on your own?

RE: Switches in Activity's

In activities the switches are set so they follow the path of each service that you make. The only switches that you can reset in an are manuel ones. Switches that are automatic cannot be set by the player.Regards,Eric

RE: Switches in Activity's

For a route to be versatile in regards to switching opportunities, it truly needs to be equipped with manual switches. IF the move you want to make has manual switches involved, then you do not need to use reverse points to activate the switch. IF the move you want to make has an automatic switch then you will HAVE to use a properly placed reverse point to activate the switch for the backing move. From the sounds of it, you are very new to the AE and setting up activities. You would do well to purchase the Activity Tutorial by Rich Garber that is available at Trainsimulatorworld.com. Ten bucks, some reading/experimenting, and you'll be mastering AE like a pro.
