Reading Topic #2303
was looking to change some cars from the default to some custom cars in an switching activity that i downloaded.the question i have is how do you change the car without changing the car number that it originaly has.the problem is that when i change the car do a custom one it screws up the work order and the activity no longer works.thanks for the help

Hi bill,If you are using the ae to make the changes, right click the loose consist you want to change and click on properties. You can now substitute the cars you want to change by dragging the car to be removed to the coupler symbol and dragging the car to be used to the place where the car was removed. This will change the cars without changing the car number.There are also programs such as Activity Analysis, etc that can also make the changes for you.Regards,Eric

thanks for the info Eric, I will give it a go when i get home. seems last time i used the ae to do that it did change the car numbers though.....so maybe i will try this activity analysis thing thanks again
