I'm working on a few activities for the Nigerian Route, and am experiencing something strange. The activities involve picking up or dropping off passengers at regular station platforms, but continuing on with the player train to locations that are not platforms to end the activity. After leaving the last platform, the F10 window appears as below. The question is, how can I prevent the station from showing in the F10 window twice? I only want the player train to stop there once, and I think this indication might be confusing. Also, is there a place in the .act file that differentiates a freight activity from a passenger activity? Thanks,MC
MasterChief,Use WordPad to edit your Activity file. You can then take out whichever stop you don't want to happen. You can find that time by looking for the time the stops are made which apparently were put in when you calculated the activity. Don't look for time in any clock counting method that you know of. MSTS calculates all times as the total number of seconds from the 1st second until whatever time is shown in the F10 window. For example, 0600 will appear as 21600 and 1500 will appear as 54000. Each hour is 60 times 60 times the number of hours and each minute is 60 times the number of minues to give your exact seconds for the hour and minute in the F10 window. This will help you find the right time to correct or remove. It also allows you to change the times to what ever you want instead of what the computer calculates for you. I am doing an ATSF passenger activity over Cajon Pass and have used this to reset the station stops according to the real ATSF time schedule.Bob Edwards Retired Navy Chaplain
MC, if I'm not mistaken, anytime the last passenger stop is not the end of activity you will have the last station doubled up as you show above. However, most of the time if you save after you have already stopped at the station, quit then re-load your saved activity, the phantom station will be gone.Just one of the quirks of the AE.The only thing that truly differentiates between the two of them is the 'stock' you are running. If it has a 'Passenger' entry in the wag file, it can/will be treated as passenger complete with F10 stops, otherwise with a freight, the stops will never complete although they will show up.I have used this frequently to help with the timing on a few freight runs where there was a critical meet. However, you will get the "Failed to stop at all stations" even if the remainder of the WO is done correctly.RobertR .. ADF-M&RM at http://www.adfrr.com
