I am making some activities for Rollins Pass. I have made activities for Tehachapi II, Cascade Crossing, Red Arrow and other routes and never had this problem. I create services, and then add them as traffic to activities. In the case of Rollins Pass, when I run the activity, the traffic trains run at about one-fourth their normal or track speed. Obviously this creates havoc with meets. I hope there is some simple answer like I am forgetting to check a box or menu in the AE, but all suggestions will be appreciated.John DeLamater

Ai trains that pass a permissive signal that has a restricted speed will slow to that speed for the rest of its run.Regards,Eric

RE: Very slow traffic in homemade activities

Eric,Thanks very much for the information. Is there some way that I can modify those restricted speed settings when the train is running as an AI train? Or do I have to adjust the starting location? Also, is there a way to identify such signals when in AE?John

Hi John,Some will appear as green in the ae but not all. I've had some luck adjusting start times so they don't follow to closely and also by relocating the start points.Regards,Eric

If an AI service starts in a restricted speed zone it stays at that speed all the way.
