Could use some info guys on how I can go about changing (ie: individualizing) consists used for Traffic (AI) trains.I'm hacking an NECv4 activity (the CSX Setouts/PickUps) and have changed the Player and Static consists as I remember how to successfully from the past. The AI trains stump me as I have 6 of them scheduled to show up at various time intervals, and I have changed the consist already to a different type of cars/locos, but it repeats itself for all 6 trains....I'd like to vary the passenger cars on a few of them if possible.I've checked Rich Garbers ACTIVITY manual, but it's kind of fuzzy in this area...anyone can shed a little more light??? I am not sure if I use the USE as TEMPLATE key on the consist I have changed that is the same for each of the 6 time slots that consist appears in or what??Also, what file does the consist wagon specs (ie: CON file) appear for a Static Consist...it's not in the TRAINS/CONSIST folder????Thanks Doug
Loose consists are in the act file, the are not listed seperately. You can use the template to change the consist. Your orignal con file will not be disturbed.Conbuilder is easier to use, just remember to change the con file name. Fred
The six scheduled trains probably use the same service scheduled to start at different times. The only way to change the consist being used would be to set up a separate service for each different consist you want to use. You can do this by using the use as template feature in the service editor and put a different consist in each one you set up. You would then have to substitute the new services for the ones you want to change using the same start time as the old one. You should try to make the new consists similar in size and weight etc so that they will perform the same a the old ones or the timing of the activity may get messed up.Regards,Eric
