I'd like to be able to have printable versions of the work order (ie pickup these cars, drop those etc). is there some file that contains it?....I'd hate to have to go into the sim and start the activity only to have to manually copy down every car number I need to pickup or drop off.Longhairedwizardwww.lhwfoundries.com
The information that you are asking about is in the .act file, but it is not a neat printout if you print the whole file or even if you select-and-paste into a word processor. There is a utility called Activity Changer that allows you to print just the Description and Briefing for an activity in WordPad or WinWord or NotePad from a button selection. The utility is free from http://msts.Juliane-und-Torben.de - it's been around for a couple of years now and is up to version 1.5.
Activity Master by Steve Davis can print out a fairly decent representation of the work order. The info for the workorder is contained in more than one file. To get the location you have to look up the siding item name in the .tit file.Regards,Eric
Some activities have work order files already made up. I have included them with my activities. Some pay ware companies also include them, one of which is 3dtrainstuff. The work order simply eliminates the need to use the F11 key and read the details which stops the train's movement--very unrealistic.Bob Edwards
