I'm posting this question here because Activitues is where the path editor lives, and I hope that an activity guru can help answer it.I love the freedom of just "exploring". When I'm exploring a route like the wonderful "Red Arrow", with all it's twists and turns, I like using the Path Editor move and zoom capability to keep track of where I am.Paper maps like there are in Seaview4 are nice, but cumbersome.
A one page schematic can't show the degree of detail information that the Path Editor can with it's zoom and move ability.I wish I could have a stand-alone path editor move and zoom that I could call up during a MSTS operating session.Does anybody know if there is such a thing? Thanks.

RE: Standalone Path Editor Move and Zoom

Got me confused."When I'm exploring a route like the wonderful "Red Arrow", with all it's twists and turns, I like using the Path Editor move and zoom capability to keep track of where I am."Sounds like you have something already, unless you mean the VCR playback thing in the activity editor. As far as any type of moving map display, no such animal, and I don't think the game would support anything like it. An alternative;http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID3/23824.htmlHack the route to add yard regions, hack the camcfg.dat (or download one of the existing ones) for the free-roving #7 view, then you can "fly" around the route from a higher altitude.
