I need a rr car that is as small and simple as it can be. I want to use this car as a placeholder for creating originating activities for my tool RaWoWin. The program later replaces this car with randomly selected rrcars. The placeholder rrcar will never be used as an rrcar. Filesize matters and the car should be freeware. Ok, if the car builder permits me to use it then freeware is not a requirement.I have had a look at the file library but ther's a overwhelming number of rrcars. I don't need a perfect car, I do need a small (filesize) car. Thanks for your help! ----- spam --- spam ---- spam ---- spam ---- spam ---- spam ---- I do still need beta testers for the new RaWoWin! PO&N8 and/or Dragonrail routes are required for testing. Freeware as ever! Your MSTS instal itself stays untouched as before.<>If you like to volunteer please send me an email: webmaster@mildtor.de I'll then send you back the download link.
HiInvisocar perhaps? It's .s file is only 4k. Not sure about distribution though, Here's their EULA..."EULAThis wagon and sounds are freeware, the end user (that's you) hereby has permission to use, abuse, fold spindle and mutilate, upload to other websites and distribute at will in any freeware add on. Add your own sounds and upload again, maybe this will grow to 100 megabytes. This software is not to be used in any commercial or shareware venture without express written permission from the authors on penalty of getting your legs broken.Jim Ward Chicago, USA email, jwarde@ameritech.net"I guess if yours is freeware, no problem otherwise, send Jim a note.GaryG
That Invisocar is a perfect match! Aside form the small file size and the freeware disclaimer there is another reason why the invisocar is simply perfect for my use: I wrote RaWoWin for the PO&N route. Guess who is building this great route and labouring on Version 9 ?Yep, it's Jim Ward, known in this forums as Sniper, or more correct as Sniper297. Thanks!!!
Now you're in serious trouble, that EULA is copyrighted and you reprinted it without permission. You have the right to stop typing, anything you do type will be used against you in a kangaroo court. If you cannot afford a kangaroo, one will be appointed to you and charged to Mike Simpson. Uliger, I was just looking for you, first you want longer siding markers, now you want shorter cars, exactly how many loose consists do you intend to jam onto a route?!Assuming Invisocar works, terrific, but there might be a couple problems;1. Maybe a bit too short, 2. Rigid couplers, 3. It's invisible! That last may be important, since an invisible car sitting on a siding or spur in the sim - well, it will be invisible, obviously. So if you miss replacing one in the utility, a guy tries to couple up to a cut of cars and runs smack into an Invisocar before he thought he needed to slow down. A better solution would be to clone the 380 tender, like this:And that gives you a highly visible car about 5 meters long. Here's the whole thing;http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/User_files/412d7652120c0962.zipUnzip that into the \Trainset folder, freight car name is "shorty".EDIT: Almost forgot why I was looking for you, I'm putting really really long siding markers in now, can you take an 8 meg zip file in your email?
