I am running the Alton Limited Soundbound, 8 minutes & 55 second from starting on time at CUS I get Activity ended to to car derailing. Speend limit is 20 miles per hour, going about 12 miles per hour at the time. I have deleted the who route and reinstalled, and still the same problem. I have added all the updates. I have run it thur route riter, to fix the couplers, but route riter is hanging up on this. Route Riter has pointed to error's in the consit, and I have fix them. Can someone tell me how to correct this? Thanks for all your great help. Gerry
RE: Gulf Mobile & Ohio Northren Alton Limited Derail
Is it the player train ('your train') that's derailling? You'll get a alternative camview. If you don't get the camview, it could be an AI train which starts in a wrong possition (the last car doesn't start on the track or something like that).Just take a look in AE.Regards,René----------------------------- Zoveel leuke dingen, zo weinig tijd...
RE: Gulf Mobile & Ohio Northren Alton Limited Derail
Coming out of CUS YOU aren't getting bumped. I had some trouble with this activity and found that it was a PRR train getting t-boned by an inbound Erie commuter out at 21st Street. Thought I had that issue cured as I haven't seen it here when I've run that activity.I DO know that none of the AI trains you deal with between the sheds and 21st Street are colliding. One of the things I'm HOPING to get doen on the route is to get yard view (#7) enabled over most of the route (except way out in B.F.E.). This will help in diagnosing such problems. The problem is something to do with the semaphore signals on the C&WI as it crosses the Pennsy at 21st street. Check for Erie, Wabash and Santa Fe trains inbound to Dearborn.BTW: which activity set did you get this out of? You MAY have an early version of the activity.... Does this happen EVERY time you run the activity?I'm getting ready to hit the rack but I'll take the laptop into the bedroom and fire up this activity and see if I can re-create the problem....JBD
RE: Gulf Mobile & Ohio Northren Alton Limited Derail
HI: Thanks for your answer. I think it is the Santa Fe train that is causing the problem, as it will not load the engine, and the last car. Yes it happens every time I run the activity. Later today I am going to reload all the activity from the last up date. I do thank you for your time and help. I enjoy the route on the activitys that work. You have put a lot of work into this, and it is a great route. I have learn a lot from working with route. Thanks Gerry

Ihad this problem with the "doodlebug" activity. Modified consist of two cars. The problem occured when leaving the Bloomington (?) station. Two AI trains collided ending the activity. Look to the rear now and then. You may spot the problem. Also make sure that the required AI consists are exactly as required. Altered consists may change the timings. Noticed this on the STL Tour when I changed consists to more closely match the requirements. Had just put in any consist to get started. Changing some of consists changed start time by up to a minute to get desired results.

The 3DTrains Super Chief set is required equipment for that activity. If you don't have that set then you'll get missing car errors. You may have an early version of that activity as well. I went through and updated all of the earlier activities when I released the multi-player activity pack about 8 weeks ago. Give that a try.I ran the activity three times, varying my start time each time and never got a derailment....(sorry for delayed response, had the BN go on strike yesterday and had to replace the computer keyboard!)JBD
