Good evening all. I am back again with yet another question and this one makes so sense to me at all. I have an activity. There is a train that departs 5 minutes before I do, but right before it get's to the third station, it hits a red light. I don't understand why the light is red. There is NO traffic in front of it. It is supposed to have all greens. Can somebody please explain this to me? Is there a way around it?

RE: Back at it again

I think you may be omitting a couple of details to your description here, so I can only guess what might be going on.I've a hunch that the beaming/projection of the player path overtakes the counterpart to the train departing the five minutes in advance, all because of some interlocking switch before the encountered red signal...?Cheers,

RE: Back at it again

Hello gonny.. Hummm. That sounds real interesting. I guess that I what I get for trying out something interesting and fun. If it helps at all, here is everything I did. It's on the Fairly Up to England Route. There are two Local Trains. I am the second. The first leaves London and I depart 5 minutes after it stopping at the same stopes that it does. Where the problem lies is right before the thrid stop (which has 3 tracks leading into the station), the first train hit's a red light. Based on your hunch, what I will do is have my train depart later and hopefully, that will clear the light into the station for the first train. I din't understand the red light and I have tried switching tracks for both trains and still a red light. I was trying to make is more realistic end of Rush hour thing as at some point in the line (after about the 6th station) the first train keeps straight and my train turns off and goes in a different direction, which is why I didin't think it would be a problem following so close. Again, that is what I get for trying to make a realistic activity. Thanks for your help and I will update what happens. Ron

RE: Back at it again

Ah, FUDE, right? Which version of it, for I've had it for about eight months although seldom played it? Let me know the time and date modification stamp to its "*.tdb" file, just to be sure. If you can be even more specific; such as naming the stations, performance settings to the schedules, pathings, lob me a screenshot, etc., coz I ain't familiar with the route and such pointers from you would cover groundwork for me; I'd try to fully match your activity and see what I can suss out what may be going on. Oh, try letting me know the version of your activity as initially conceived, not a subsequent one after all the modifications it seems you've been committing to it. Are you and the train ahead of you the only ones spawned in the activity? It may be that a double reverse point must be inserted into your player path.Cheers,

RE: Back at it again

I am not sure which version it is, but I just downloaded from the Train-Sim website. I believe it is the latest version as I also downloaded Modern Up to Date England and the Modern is electric. As for the activity, and to this day, I am still in awe, but what I did was, I removed the Express train (the one the left before the 2 local trains and didn't make as many stops)and now everything works perfectly. Both trains are able to cross the "red" light and I am able to play the activity with no problem. All I am doing at this point is trying to get the times correct as I am using the Sounder train and it can't get up to speed quite as fast, so I am just playing and making adjustments to the schedule. I am also updating an activity for the High Speed Train in Germany. I was able to create the activity with no problem, including other AI trains. As with the FUDE activity, I am just trying to adjust the schedule for the stations so it will be managable. Thanks for your help though, I really apprecate it.
