I have an activity on my route where I start out waiting for an oncoming AI train to go through a switch onto another line toward another city. Even after a half hour passes after this AI train has gone by, I've still got a red signal, and don't know how to get it to change to green.
You could try changing the starting point of paths or the start time of the AI train. Its a process of trial and error and you'll have to experiment with different times and starting points and check on the activity playback to see if your signal turns to green after the AI train has passed. Hope this helps
I have a similar kind of activity, one where the player train starts at a platform (on a siding) and sits there while a couple of trains pass on the mainline. Is that the kind of scenario you mean? In my case I place a pair of reversing points right under the player train. If I don't start the player train moving, I can sit there as long as desired, and when the traffic is past I can start the player train and the signal clears. This is using absolute signals. I've heard that some people have had problems with this method, but it's been working perfectly for me.Good luck. JohnR.
