I saw on a website somewhere, that before the CSX-Conrail merger, the Tropicana "Juice Train" only ran on CSX to Bayview, and there it was handed over to Conrail.
Now, does anyone know how it was routed in these days? Did it run into CSX' Bayview yard, and did Conrail then run over CSX to Wilsmere before transferring to Conrail tracks? Or did CSX run into Conrail's ex-PRR Bay View yard, and Conrail then routed the train over the NEC to Philadelhpia?

RE: Tropicana "Juice Train" in the Conrail era

There's a great arcticle on the Tropicana Train in the March 2000 issue of Trains. The train travels from Bradenton, FL to Jersey City, NJ and some trains also go to Cincinatti, OH. I don't know which yards it went through, but I do know the routing used to be Seaboard to Richmond, Fredricburg & Potomac to Penn Central (at least that's what the arcticle in Trains said). If your looking to create an activity for the Juice train, Check in the File Library there seems to be some in there for the Florida Funnel and the NEC4Hope any of this helped

I've checked out the available activity. Unfortunately it is set in the post-merger era, and therefore does not answer my question.

RE: Tropicana "Juice Train" in the Conrail era

Downloaded your activities, I'll look into it..
Was thinking of making a two-part activitiy, running on CSX in the first part and then handing over to Conrail, and then the second part running with Conrail. May tweak it a little and let Conrail run on CSX to Windemere and then transfer to the NEC there tho
