Some time ago Plainsman made the following comment in a discussion on adhesion:"...the problem becomes that the sim does not model a trailing locomotive in quite the same way it models the lead. This seems to be particularly problematic in doubleheaded steam."I have a feeling that I read somewhere else that the specific effect was that an additional steam engine did not add any additional power, but also added no deadweight. That is, that it was simply ignored by the sim for the purposes of load and total tractive effort. My experience has been consistent with this, yet I have had some users of my activity which uses doubleheaded steam, say there is in fact extra power. If you are still here Bob, do you know anything more precise than what you said in your 2003 comment?thow
