Hey guys.I've been trying to create a few activities for the new Red Arrow Lines route (which I am a frequent patron of today). But I'm having problem setting the paths. Everytime I place a start point and reverse the path in the other dircetion, the Activity Editor freezes and subsequently crashes to the desktop. Now this is the only route that this happens to. I've been able to successfully create many other acts. on other routes with no problem. Anyone have any reasons why this is happening or have any solutions to fix it?

RE: The Red Arrow Lines and Activity Editor

The activity editor simply does not like loops. In order to create an activity, or change the start point, you must first disable (or remove track from) the 69th st. loops at platforms 2 & 3 in the route editor. I have not been able to build an activity where the train goes through a loop and returns to the same single rail track. The program will not allow it. I suspect this is a signaling issue.I originally had a freight train activity running to West Chester via Norristown, 64 miles, but the program crashed when the train exited the double rail tracks and entered the West Chester freight loop. Hence it was not included in the route package. The loop at 69th St. was not added yet when this activity was in operation. If the various loops were converted to reversing wye's, or dead ends, the activity editor would behave properly.Hope this helps.RK

RE: The Red Arrow Lines and Activity Editor

Well that wasn't much help. In fact it just made matters worse. I created an activity using your paths and now when ever I try to select the Red Arrow route on Train Sim, the game just totally crashes. First off who's idea was it to put turnbacks loops on this route when the real lines have stub ends? 69th St has the only turnback loop.

RE: The Red Arrow Lines and Activity Editor

The loops were put in "just to see what would happen" - no working routes with loop to loop operation have been posted.Further, I put the loops in because I don't like driving my trolley backwards for for an hour, since available trolleys can't switch working controls from end to end.The route editor came with the program. Remove the loops if you don't like them. Nothing could be simpler than erasing track! As explained before, without the loops, the activity editor works fine! RKBird
