I mistakenly posted the following on the MSTS forum and was advised to post to this forumWhen I try to edit the traffic pattern in the AE nothing happens. I click on the "EDIT" button and nothing comes up. It was working OK a week or so ago but not now.
Also if I try to check out the traffic in the AE speeded up viewer the AI trains do not show up running around the route as they should do.Any ideas anyone?Thanks.Arrow201

RE: AE problem

I'm gonna start with some real basics here."I click on the "EDIT" button and nothing comes up."Question, what does it say in the traffic pattern window? If it says "none", there isn't any traffic pattern to edit."the AI trains do not show up running around the route", another clue that there may not be a traffic pattern. If you're creating your own activity, you have to click on "new" and make a traffic pattern, if you're hacking an existing activity it might not have a traffic pattern. If there IS a traffic pattern name in the traffic pattern window (and you're trying to edit something that actually does exist), then possibly that traffic pattern file has become corrupted (in the \Routename\Traffic folder, ends with .trf).

RE: AE problem

Thanks for your ideas, Jim.I have this problem on all routes that I have tried - 5 or 6 different routes. There definitely are Traffic Patterns in all the routes I have checked and the AI trains do run in the Sim itself. However I cannot edit any of them. This includes activities that I have created as well as activities by others. Some of the activities are those in your PON8. Absolutely nothing happens when I click on the EDIT button in the traffic window, yet the AI trains run as expected in the sim.I must compliment you on the great route you have created. I enjoy the PON very much. It is one of my favorite routes. Thanks for that.Arrow201

RE: AE problem

Wierd. Well, all I can think of to try is MSTSSCRZ.ZIP from the file library, it's a utility for changing screen sizes, but also includes a gizmo that fixes corrupt activity editor entries in the system registry. The usual problem is not being able to see loose consists or AI trains, but this may be part of that same bug.
