Im creating an activity on the whitefish2 route and i've come up against a problem which is messing up the entire time table that i wish to create. Lemme explain with the help of an example. When i run AE it predicts that i will reach a siding(say Naples) by 8:48 am. But when i run the sim i actually reach the siding much earlier at about 8:28 am. As a result AI traffic which is scheduled to appear at 8:50 am is nowhere to be seen.I've read that AE does not take into account the gradient of the route but a 20 minute difference is a lil too much i'd say. Has anybody else faced a similar problem and knows how to work around it?Upamanyu
Who knows? It varies from route to route and activity to activity. The easiest is to run the player without AI traffic and note the times you pass certain points. Then start adding AI traffic. If there are tricky areas, creat a mini-activity around it. But note this, the AI traffic can still be different that what you think it is. There is no easy workaround.Kevin Arceneaux DEFAULT IS FOR DUMMIES Cry havoc and Let slip the dogs of war. It's fun being CRAZY!!!!! There is one thing I've found that seems to make a big difference. Don't know who to attribute it to, but a big thanks to someone. Go into the player consist with a unicode editor (after backing it up of course)SIMISA@@@@@@@@@@JINX0D0t______Train ( TrainCfg ( NEFB-109-10-GASO-WB15b Serial ( 19 ) MaxVelocity ( 33.52800 0.32554 ) NextWagonUID ( 17 ) Durability ( 0.97500 )
Change the MaxVelocity ( 33.52800 0.32554 ) line to something closer to the following MaxVelocity ( 75.52800 1.32554 ) In most circumstances, this will bring it much closer in alignment to what will happen when you actually run it. However, as Kevarc says above, you still have to run it, adjust, run it, adjust ad nauseum until it is correct for what you want. However, this seems to make it much easier for me to get it right.RobertR .. ADF-M&RM at http://www.adfrr.com
