Has anybody created a utility that can revise the order of service definitions within a traffic file such that all the referenced-to definitions are sorted in a chronological order, which in itself signifies when all the services are spawned?I recently signalized ten miles' worth of right of way that starts out as 16 tracks only to narrow into 14, then ten, and then eight's worth. I created an activity to see how the signalling worked. Many trains -- including me (my player service) -- were held up by other trains that weren't all that nearby in the end. Well, via the RE, I usually try to create and thereafter list my new (or old) services in the traffic file in chronological order, i.e., in the order that the trains are spawned, but doing so isn't always possible for me.So I opened up the traffic file myself, and manually cut and pasted all its service definitions such that they were all listed in chronological order. I then reloaded RE, and computed and saved the activity hosting the traffic file.It worked out really well in game mode, so well that my own train had clear passage throughout each of the four junctions incorporated into the ten-mile stretch, which hadn't been the case before -- it made the activity too 'clean', you know?! Trains being held up were virtually non-existent!After playing the 'sterilized' activity, I wondered to myself just to what extent an ever-so-slight modification to the order of services listed in the traffic file would have upon the activity in game mode. So, I went back into the traffic file, and manually cut and paste only one of its service definitions; I moved the definition down by one spot (i.e., one defintion's worth downward). Even that 'minor' change caused every outcome in the activity during game mode to have become altered. This sim is fascinating. I think better and better of it all the time. Its creators had many good ideas in mind, I must now admit.Anyhow!, has anybody drummed up a utility that can replace the manually-performed task of revising the order of service definitions in a traffic file such that they be listed chronologically? I'd swear that such a utility would be immensely helpful for everybody; I myself have no idea how to create any kind of utililty. There appears to be no such utility yet uploaded to the "Utilities" library in the train-sim.com downloads.Cheers,
