I am getting sick and tired of these activities with 20 or 30+ non-default extras. They are great and all that. I try my best to change it over to my stuff but there is always something I can't get. My library is full enough now. Anyways, this new product from Skyline Comp. sounds to be perfect to solve that problem. Anyone have it? Is it good? And I would like to know when you switch out cars or locos from an activity will Activity Master allow you to switch equipment for something you have when you are MISSING the one from the original author, thanksHeavy-D

RE: Activity Master - anybody have it?

Use Conbuilder or Routeriter and use the equipment you have...!!!
I only drive steam but I change all consists to some I have or create 'new' ones with my stock. Just keep the performance level similar..or adjust the 'performance' factor in AE.Georges

RE: Activity Master - anybody have it?

Use Conbuilder or Routeriter to use what you have...Routeriter will even change static consists..
I use steam all the time so I redo all the stock for activities with what I have.Just try to match performance levels...or if you know the AE you can alter slightly the 'performance' factor to compensate..

RE: Activity Master - anybody have it?

I have it,and it works like a charm. If you go to skyline computing, you can read the manual. It lets you simply change out any rolling stock and engines, whether in .con files or .act files. You can change the time of day, weather and it even adjusts the AItraffic times.I think it was really worth the cost of $12.00 and it's a great companion for the switchlist generator, that Steve sells as well.

RE: Activity Master - anybody have it?

Well, I tried to get it.I ordered it through their site and got a paypal confirmation. Then we went out of town over the Easter weekend. When I came back I had two mysterious e-mails from someone I had never heard of refering to a recent purchase. Neither mentioned Activity Master or the company in the greeting. Thinking they might be a spoofed sender with a virus attached I blew them away without opening them (might have been a mistake).I sent a message to Skyline Computing describing what I just repeated above and asked them if they had sent a message over the weekend with my needed download link. That was almost a week ago .... no response. Now I'm going out of town again for a week. Will there be something there when I get home? I hope so....krswen

I have Activity Master and I can assure you it's worth the $14.00.It takes the hassle out of changing an activity to meet your needs.
It uses the equipment you have and makes the activity work without additional downloads. It's very simple to install and very easy to use.Highly recommended.

>Heavy-D Yes, Activity Master will definitely allow you to switch out equipment for any rolling stock or locomotives, whether in "loose consists" or player or AI consists, that is MISSING on your hard drive. In fact that's the primary reason I developed this in the first place: I too was tired of having to download many rolling stock files just to try an activity. Thanks for asking! --Steve DavisAuthor of "SwitchList Generator" and "ActivityMaster"

RE: Activity Master - anybody have it?

I'd love to see an Activity CREATOR that didn't rely on the MSTS software....Now THAT would be worth paying for!!!JBD

RE: Activity Master - anybody have it?

I certainly agree with you! SwitchList Generator was the closest I could get to that. To create activities for routes for which SwitchList Generator templates are available, you don't have to touch the MSTS Activity Editor. Just click a couple buttons and an activity is created. But creating activities for routes for which a template isn't available still does require the MSTS software. We're working on finding a way around it! I don't know if it's possible, but we keep trying. In the meantime we keep coming out with more templates. Thanks,Steve
