Well, I'm an Activity Editor newbie myself, but I was lucky enough to receive the official "Microsoft Train Simulator: Official Strategies and Secrets" book by Sybex and Microsoft, with my gift copy of the software. They have a section where they walk you through making a few tweaks to an existing activity, then creating a new simple one from scratch, that was enough to get me started. It's listed for $20 US, assuming it's still in print. There may be other books available too, I don't know. For free, though, I also have just 20 minutes ago downloaded, although not yet read, several Activity Editor tutorials from the File Library on this site. You'll need a separate account for the File Library, and you'll find that at busy times you may need to try to get in several times, as they only let so many people in at once. When you get there, use the "Browse Section" link and browse the tutorials. There are probably tutorials available elsewhere on the Internet as well, maybe a search of http://www.google.com for "MSTS Activity Editor Tutorial" or some variation thereof would yield something? That's about all I can tell you generally. Except, of course, RTFM (Read The Flippin' Manual - Start the activity editor and go to the Help Contents menu item.) Of course almost everyone else here knows more than me, but maybe this will get you started. Hope it helped.- JohnUpdate: Someone on another topic just recommended this link -- http://www.railpage.org.au/steam4me/trainsim/tutorials/ -- which looks good too.
