After using Train Simulator for over 2 years, I have installed a brand new version 1.2 into a new computer, running Pentium 4, a 40Gb drive & Windows 98. There is a curious problem in the consist editor. In the preview window any locomotive chosen has a relevant latitude & longitude behind it. The picture of any subsequent vehicle is superimposed over the previous, and this also occurs in the consist window. This makes it difficult to view a particular vehicle. However, the finished consist is correct in an activity. I have searched threads to see if this problem has been mentioned before, but without success. All offers of a solution will be gratefully accepted. Ken
Do what most people do...use Conbuider (V1.71) and Routeriter (install 4.2.46 first and update with v4.2.56) those programs will solve just about any problems relating to MSTS between them. I would have given up if it wasn't for those 2....
Thanks, I have just downloaded Conbuilder and will give it a try soon. I might also load FlightSimulator 2004 and see how that goes, as it just drops out on this computer after10 to 15 minutes. Ken
Thank you for this idea. My reply is this late because I have been researching the family tree. Can you tell me where the library is now found, so that I can download the prtograms, please? Regards Ken.
Unusual! Possible video problem (drivers and/or hardware)?Could try uninstalling then reinstalling MSTS. Also, try updating DirectX and/or video card drivers. If no improvement, then try another video card with more Video RAM and graphics processing ability.
