I'm considering purchasing KHP 2, but before I do; I'm curious to know if the "2nd section" activity can be made to work in this ver.
In the original, this activity was notorious for holding the player up at a red signal at some point, while an AI train was in a similar helpless position facing you. Anyone know if this issue has been resolved in the new ver? I rather liked this activity. It would be nice to see it work properly.

RE: KHP 2

Hi YardlimitTo answer your specific question first; I can't remember for sure if that particular activity works or not on KHP2. ...Followup... I just looked at the KHP2 activities and that particular activity doesn't appear to have been recreated for KHP2 (yet). I would have to be rewritten as activities are route specific. With that answer, why am I responding? Well, along with a longer, more detailed route and new and improved locos and cars, you do get new activities to go along with KHP2.Additionally, there have been some excellent activities developed for the new version and development for KHP1 has pretty well stopped since. Some of these new activities are much more difficult and complex than any we had for KHP1. Some are here at MLT in the Activities forum and others are at Train-Sim.I think you would find that most who made the switch to the new version haven't regretted it.GaryG

RE: KHP 2

OK. That sounds nice.
For some reason, I was under the impression that this same activity
was included in KHP 2. I must have gotten confused. I guess I liked it because it was a night activity, and kind of interesting, as far as I got. Oh Well. May as well order it.Thanks.

RE: KHP 2

Well, first of all KHP2 turned out to be rather nice indeed.
The track sounds are much enhanced, and so are the engines.
So I did what seemed natural; I reworked KHP1 "2nd section" for KHP2.
Its in final testing, and looks promising. I changed some paths, points of origin for the AI trains, and adapted the consists to khp2 rolling stock without making any fundamental changes in loads or car numbers. Lookin' good. I ran it with SkyCond2 "sunset." The effect was breathtaking! I learned a good deal about passing path behavior, and so far everything seems to be working as designed.Stay tuned...
