I've tried to add loose consists to one of the 3DTS activities at
Barstow. So there would not be empty yards. I made new consist
and named them for the track I was going to put the freight cars
on. When loading MSTS and after choosing the activity I had edited
I received messages that some of the cars where not a part of the
(world). And quite loading and gave me the send message to you
know where.
Can I add consists to an existing activity?
Like to fill train yards.
Is there a limit to how much can be added if this is possible?
I have added cars on other MSTS activities to fill sidings with-out
any problems.
Maybe I missed something here??John B.

John B.>Can I add consists to an existing activity?
>Like to fill train yards.
>Is there a limit to how much can be added if this is possible?Yes, back you are limited by frame rates and maybe go past the light limit.Yes, you can fill train yards but the above restrictions and Kevin's answer applies.Yes, there is a limit but it depends on your computer and your tolerence for low frame rates. Every piece of rolling stock in an activity (especially those that are viewed) take some of the computer's calculating ability. The more cars, the less calculating ability the computer has for other tasks (like frame rates displayed on the monitor). It is an art to make an activity yard "look crowded" when utilizing only a few cars. Also every car usually has at least one light and many cars can also use up the light capacity that MSTS can handle.I hope that this helps,Steve
