I rode the Pennsylvanian westbound from New York to Pittsburgh and found that my consists are wildly inaccurate. I will be updating this activity, but it will be much more accurate once NALW releases their Horizon coaches (they were on the Three Rivers eastbound). I also need to know how to change the actual schedule of an activity so it meets a prototypical schedule. It would be nice if the line would be extended to Johnstown or even Pittsburgh, but I really can't build routes. I might also do Eastbound Pennsylvanian and/or East/Wesbound Three Rivers.
Well, i'll take the heat on the Horizon cars... Good news is, now that a backlog of stuff has been cleared off my plate, finishing the Horizons are pretty much the next thing on my "To Do" list And anyone know when the heck the Horizons started migrating east? They've been popping up all over the place out there! As for the schedules - start your activity at the correct time of departure from your starting station. Then, in about the middle of the right side of the AE, i believe you'll see a button labelled something like "Edit Timetable". Under there, you can double-click on the Arrival time of each station, and a little box will pop up. Put the appropriate arrival time in the box. Click "OK" (i think - not at home right now). I usually click the "recalculate" button down at the bottom, but i'm not sure how necessary this is. If you do though, you'll see the performance numbers on the right-most column update to reflect what player performance is needed to meet that schedule. Each of the AI traffic can be done in the same way (but i can't recall at the moment exactly how to do it - look for similar buttons in that section). Hope that helps!------ BUZZ ------ -- Power For You --
I had only seen the Horizons once before in the east, and that was in Penn Station on July 5; there were at least 2 behind an HHP on a long distance train (Probably the Three Rivers). They have not hit the Empire Corridor...yet (and probably won't because of the new turbos). The clocks are ticking away the time until the Clocker (Amtrak's first train) becomes the first Corridor train to leave the hands of Amtrak. It will be handed over to New Jersey Transit, who will run it using bilevel cars pulled by ALP46s. Can't wait for those Horizons to be released! I'll finally be able to make a prototypical Three Rivers consist (although Phase I heritage sleepers don't look too good with roadrailers on the back).
