I'll be taking requests for activities for the Seattle line, the Middle Division, NEC4, Whitefish 2, Marias 3.1, and any other routes that I may happen to download. The requests may not use any payware equiptment. I prefer to do passenger activities, but I'll do freight if that's what people want. I'll also be willing to do MOW service, but I'd need some help with that. I'm leaving for Pittsburgh a week from Monday and returning that Thursday, both ways by train. Otherwise I'm near a computer in New York State. I'll do prototypical or fictional activities. I WON'T, however, do something on the lines of UP taking over BNSF or CSX. Past, present, or future. Post here.

RE: Any requests?

Oh, I know this is hard but I would really love another Empire Builder activity for MP3.1 - with some good AI that for once doesn't end in a Mexican Standoff or equivalent. And considering the Empire Builder runs the line from Sandpoint to Whitefish (#8) and back (#7), an Empire Builder for Whitefish 2 would be a first!

I have an Empire Builder Activity for MP 3.1 with up to 10 AI Trains and I have heavily beta tested it so the shouldn't be any problems.
As for my Request, I would like a BN Grain Train activity for Whitefish 2Chris

RE: Any requests?

I spent the majority of the day yesterday working on the first leg of a two-activity pack (Marias 3.1 and Whitefish 2) that has the player drive a westbound coal drag from Shelby to Sandpoint. So far, the AI isn't that much of a problem...the Cutbank Coupler Curse IS. I found a recommendation for a fix that I'll test this evening and hopefully, we'll be back in business. After this...I'm planning an empty grain train from Sandpoint to Shelby, a couple fast intermodals (one in each direction) and maybe a local or two. Each will have between 7 and 10 AI trains.(By the way, part of the problem with the coal drag is that it's not likely you'd ever drive the 12,700 ton beast all the way from Shelby to Sandpoint without dying on the law. With close to maximum legal power on the head end, running at Notch 8 most of the way, the average speed between Shelby and Cutbank has been 27 mph. From Cutbank to Essex, there are helpers, but I don't think the speed will improve much until west of Essex...and even then, the train's legal speed limit is only 45 mph, so you can only make up so much time. Interesting problems!)Kurt

I'm working on this too. Not too much time to test, it takes 4 hours to run from end to end and if you screwed up by traffic you must do it over and over again

RE: Any requests?

4 hours end-to-end...yep, there's the rub. Finally figured out a way around the Cutbank Couple Curse...literally: you run left-handed until Cutbank. I spent two days doing all the things you're supposed to do to fix it so this wouldn't happen, but nothing worked. (I did exactly what the FAQ recommends, fixed ALL the bounding boxes in my track section .sd files and bumped up the coupler break numbers to make my "Class E" couplers somewhere around "Class Z squared"...nothing worked.) I suspect that as you run realistically long and heavy consists over that piece of track, nothing you do will prevent the break. In any case...semi-solution in place, I am pressing on...Kurt
