Alright, ignore my other topic about the problem activity - this is worse. I went back into the AE to try and fix up the activity, but was fairly surprised when it displayed the route like inside the path editor. I fixed most of that up, by going into the view menu and selecting everything, but it WOULDN'T SHOW PATH POINTS OR SIGNALS.Then, to my surprise, I COULDN'T EDIT THE TRAFFIC PATTERN (nothing happened when I clicked 'Edit'.Next, when browsing over the route display map, I noticed it DIDN'T DISPLAY LOOSE CONSISTS.And finally, on the file menu, I COULDN'T SAVE THE ACTIVITY.There may be more problems I haven't discovered yet, and yes I restarted the computer and shut down and all that - same problems.I'm freaking out here, what is wrong?

Don't make activity editors the way they used to, hey? I would suggest starting over from scratch, open Europe1 in Windows Explorer, go into the \Activities, \Paths, \Services, and \Traffic folders, and delete anything with a date later than May 2001. "Failed to initialize car rigid body" is when a loose consist is placed with one end hanging off the end of the track, or the path is not long enough from start point to end point to fit the player or AI consist onto the path. Another potential is trying to generate two services on top of each other at the same time, or trying to generate a service on top of a loose consist. All too easy when dragging that window around to accidently grab a loose consist by mistake and drag it somewhere, that's why it's best to set up paths first and place loose consists after that. Clicking on Tools, verify starting state will list the offending consist, and selecting view, service info after that will help you find that number. Dragging it away from the end of the track or the other consist that it's telescoped into will both reveal the problem and fix it. Sounds to me like yours is screwed up badly enough that it would be better to delete your .act, .asv, .srv, .pat, and .trf files and start over, but armed with the above info you should be able to fix the new ones before they go totally bonkers.
